Your Roopkund adventure begins with an early morning departure at 5:30 AM from Live Free Hostel, Rishikesh. Leaving the plains behind, the road follows the emerald waters of the Alaknanda River, passing through the sacred confluences of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag.
As you ascend deeper into the Garhwal Himalayas, the landscape transforms into lush forests, terraced fields, and charming mountain villages. After reaching Lohajung, the journey continues to the picturesque Wan Village, the traditional starting point of the legendary Roopkund Trek. Surrounded by dense oak and rhododendron forests, Wan offers a peaceful Himalayan atmosphere and the perfect setting to prepare for the exciting trek ahead.

As you walk across the endless green meadows, you'll be surrounded by magnificent views of Mt. Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and other towering Himalayan peaks. The fresh mountain breeze, colorful wildflowers (during summer), and panoramic landscapes make this one of the most scenic days of the trek.
